Hey friends, it's Alice here - daughter of Jetlag's very own co-founder. This blog is here to service your every question about the festival : How it's run, what you'll see there, how it works. Everything. So don't be afraid to ask!

This blog is basically teen/parent/American friendly. ;)

Meaning, I'm an American teen, so I'll be writing like an American teen, trying to give you guys all of the information that you'll need to know ahead of time before the festival.

Jetlag '10 will be an extremely diverse and ethnic occasion. You'll find people of all ages, colors, musical talents, and origins. And the one thing that'll bring us all together? Music.

The most diverse aspect about Jetlag is, of course, the music.

You'll find everything from jazz and folk music to heavy metal and hard-edged rock. And lying right in between, at almost every campsite, you'll see impromptu gatherings - filled with music lovers and musicians improvising to the sound of a lead acoustic guitar, and slowly bringing in every aspect of musicality in traditional Russian Bard songs.

We don't segregate at Jetlag. Though our main population is predominately Russian, we're hoping to expand our horizons and get the attention of people everywhere. We pride ourselves in being "a musical collaboration of people and styles everywhere", and we can't really call ourselves that if we're lacking an intense American attendance. :)

In short, Jetlag is a three day camping festival filled with music, dancing, excitement, crazyness, everything. You'll be camping out in a tent, but don't think you'll be sleeping in it! Jetlag literally has something going at every hour of the day. Even at one in the morn' you'll be bound to find a place where you can enjoy yourself and listen to music.

Jetlag : a place where you're welcome at any campsite to eat, sing, dance... do whatever you feel like doing.

"There's balloon animals! And face painting! I never thought I would enjoy camping so much! Plus, you get to interact with a completely different culture and environment."

And that's just completely unbiased input from one person!

So. Buy a ticket to the three day festival before March 8th, and you get a thirty percent discount! Yowzah! The ticket pricing and buying is on the righthand side of the page. So buy cheap while you still can. We encourage you to bring you close ones to the festival: friends, family, dog sitters... you know what. Just tell everybody about us and bring whoever you want. Just remember to buy tickets! We don't to initiate border control at the Fest ;).
